The milk paint does not contain an in-built sealer, so you will need to use either Sweet Pickins oil wax, top coat, clear or any of the coloured waxes to seal your piece. These include black, white and dark waxes. This is a simple step that ensures a quality finish to your painted piece! Make sure to use the Sweet Pickins Extra Bond if you’re trying to achieve a sleek finish on your piece or if you don’t want to prep the piece with any sanding. This product helps the paint adhere to the timber.

PACKAGE SIZING INFORMATION

SAMPLE SIZE:

One package will cover 1 square metre (12 sq ft), which is enough paint to cover 1 chair (possibly 2 chairs), a small piece of furniture or a few picture frames. 
 
PINT SIZE:
One package will cover 3 square metres (36 sq ft), which is approximately 2 smaller dressers/bedsides, 1 small hutch or 5-6 chairs. 
 
QUART SIZE:
One package will cover 6.5 square metres (72 sq ft), which is approximately 4 smaller dressers/bedsides, 1 larger hutch or 8-10 chairs.
 
N.B. 
A lot of things affect how far the paint will go.  How thick/thin the paint is mixed, how many coats you do, the colour you are painting compared to the colour you are covering up, your painting technique, etc. Also, whites tend to take 3-4 coats, whereas colours normally take 2 coats, sometimes even just 1.
